Trilogy Position

Second of three editions in the SG-VeVe phygital trilogy:

  1. ✓ Penny Black (06.10.2024)
  2. → Penny Red (20.07.2025) ← this edition
  3. Two Penny Blue (Q4 2025)

Why Penny Red?

The Penny Black had a practical problem: black postmark on black stamp was barely visible. Hence British Post switched to red coloring in 1841 — the Penny Red was born and remained in various plate variants for almost 40 years (until 1879). Billions of Penny Reds were printed — plate variants and paper tones make it a lifetime pursuit for collectors.
