Botswana Post's first crypto stamp, launched on 7 December 2022 as an NFT re-issuance of the 2016 "Five Decades' Favorite Stamps" series on the Polygon blockchain via Stampsdaq. The original series celebrated Botswana's most popular stamps from the first 50 years of independence (1966–2016). The five NFTs were designed by Kuru Art, a San indigenous artist collective from D'Kar, Botswana, with lead artists Nxaedom Qhomatca (Ankie) and Qgoma Ncokg'o (Qmao). Mintage: 500 standard plus 250 dynamic NFTs per design, totaling 3,750 pieces. Denominations: 1.45, 2.75, and 3.30 Pula. As the first crypto stamp edition with a Travel Benefits programme, the NFTs offered collectors lifetime lottery tickets for annual drawings of Botswana trips (four winners per year).
