For the 550th anniversary of Copernicus's birth, Poczta Polska and the Vatican issued a joint block on 27 February 2023 with Jan Matejko's 1873 painting "Astronomer Copernicus, or Conversations with God", designed by Joanna Fleszar-Haspert, in a circulation of 120,000. In 2024 Poczta Polska added the crypto stamp layer retroactively: an NFT stamp (token ID 8) and an NFT first day cover (token ID 13) on the "Finest Polish Post Stamps" contract (Polygon, ERC-1155) — a collection that digitises selected historical issues rather than new stamps. Community catalogues date the tokens to 31 August 2024 and count 285 NFT stamps and 212 NFT FDCs as an open edition.

Curator note: no official web page for the NFT issue was reachable (nft.poczta-polska.pl in maintenance mode); the token metadata on the verified contract is issuer-authored and confirms motif, designer, joint issue and the 2023 physical circulation of 120,000. Issue date 31 August 2024 comes from kryptoznaczki.pl; crypto-stamps.org only says "September 2024". Distribution channel (airdrop per the aggregator) and price are unconfirmed, so totalMint and sale price stay null; 285 / 212 are open-edition snapshots.
