NFT Stamp – 80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

80th Anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising

On 1 August 2024 Poczta Polska issued a 10 PLN stamp in a block for the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising — 90,000 copies, offset on fluorescent paper, 39.5 × 51 mm, designed by Roch Stefaniak after Sylwester Braun's colourised 1944 photograph of insurgents in front of the ruined Holy Cross Church. The crypto stamp layer followed on 5 October 2024 as an airdrop on the shared "Polish Circulation & Commemorative Stamps" contract (Polygon, ERC-1155): an NFT stamp (token ID 19) and an NFT first day cover (token ID 26) with Wiesław Chrzanowski's photograph of Company "Anna". The aggregator counts 610 NFT stamps and 470 NFT FDCs; both are open editions.

Commemorative 10 PLN block stamp issued 1 August 2024 in 90,000 copies for the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. Roch Stefaniak based the design on Sylwester Braun's archival photograph of insurgents in front of the ruined Holy Cross Church, colourised by Studio Produkcyjne Orka; the first day cover shows Wiesław Chrzanowski's photograph of Company "Anna", Battalion "Gustaw". The NFT stamp (token ID 19) and NFT FDC (token ID 26) were airdropped from 5 October 2024 on the shared "Polish Circulation & Commemorative Stamps" contract (Polygon, ERC-1155).

Curator note: the official press release covers only the physical stamp (mintage 90,000, designer Roch Stefaniak, photo Sylwester Braun); the NFT airdrop of 5 October 2024 is documented by crypto-stamps.org and kryptoznaczki.pl and the token metadata is issuer-authored (external_url on nft.poczta-polska.pl). The aggregator credits the photograph to Wiesław Chrzanowski — that is the FDC photo; the stamp photo is by Sylwester Braun per the issuer. NFT counts (610 / 470) are open editions. Printer not named in the release.
