140 Years of Thai Post — Crypto Stamp 2022

140 Years of Thai Post

Crypto Stamp is the first NFT stamp of Thailand Post, issued on 14 August 2022 for the 140th anniversary of the Thai postal service. The issuer calls it the first NFT stamp in ASEAN. The edition pairs a physical sticker stamp (face value 140 baht, valid for postage) with a free NFT, claimed with a scratch-off code until 14 August 2023 and held on the JNFT platform on JFIN Chain. The 50,000 generative NFT designs draw on the work of 18 Thai NFT artists and communities and fall into five rarity levels, the rarest being the 140 Legend pieces.

Thailand Post's first NFT stamp, which the issuer calls the first in ASEAN. Reservations opened on 1 August 2022 at ThailandPostMart.com, with delivery from 14 August 2022. The physical stamp stays valid for postage even after its code is scratched off. The code claims one random NFT, free of charge, until 14 August 2023; the wallet is MetaMask or JNFT. The NFT itself cannot pay postage.

The 50,000 NFTs are generative combinations of parts created by 18 Thai NFT artists and communities. There is no souvenir sheet and no first day cover.

Curator note: the published rarity counts add up to 49,940, which is 60 short of the stated 50,000. The source does not explain the gap, so the counts are shown as published. No contract address was found. "140th anniversary" is the issuer's wording; Thai post was founded on 4 August 1883.
