Love (Stamp Art 2024)

Four vintage Love stamps, 1984–1995, as a Valentine’s Day blind box

VeVe blind box of 14 February 2024: four historic USPS Love stamps (1984–1995) by Thompson, Kent, Mandel and McCaffrey. Not the 2025 Hershey’s edition.

USPS Stamp Art — Love is the Valentine’s Day 2024 drop of the USPS Stamp Art programme on VeVe: on 14 February 2024, 8 AM PT, four historic stamps from the USPS Love series (running since 1973) were re-issued as NFTs in a blind-box waitlist format at 6.00 USD each. The four designs span eleven years of the series: Multicolored Hearts (1984, Bradbury Thompson, 1,424 pieces, Rare), Brushstrokes (1985, Corita Kent, 724 pieces, Secret Rare), Puppy (1986, Saul Mandel, 1,124 pieces, Ultra Rare) and Cherub from Sistine Madonna, by Raphael (1995, Terry McCaffrey, 1,424 pieces, Rare) — 4,696 NFTs in total on Immutable X. Not to be confused with With Love and Kisses (14 February 2025), the Hershey’s brand collaboration with its own Common / Secret Rare split. The 2024 drop has no brand partner and re-issues four different stamps.

Four Stamps from the Love Series

For Valentine's Day 2024 USPS and VeVe re-issued four historic stamps from the USPS Love series, which has run since Robert Indiana's first Love stamp of 1973. The drop opened on 14 February 2024 at 8 AM PT as a blind-box waitlist: collectors reserved a box for $6 and only saw which of the four designs, and which tier, they had received on opening.

The two Rare designs share the same count, so neither outranks the other; Brushstrokes is the scarcest at 724 pieces. Across all four tiers the drop comprises 4,696 NFTs.

Not the 2025 Hershey's Edition

This drop is easily confused with With Love and Kisses of 14 February 2025 — same calendar day, same programme, same price. The two are separate editions: the 2024 drop has no brand partner and re-issues four stamps from 1984–1995 in four tiers; the 2025 drop is a Hershey's collaboration built on Derry Noyes's 2007 stamp with a Common / Secret Rare split (5,907 / 590). Nor is the physical Love 2024 Forever stamp of 12 January 2024 (Antonio Alcalá, artwork by Katie Kirk) part of this drop.

Tech Stack

USPS Stamp Art editions live on Immutable X, an Ethereum L2 (StarkEx). NFTs are minted and traded through the VeVe marketplace; tokens are not directly resolvable via Etherscan because they live on the L2 sidechain. This is the same stack used for the entire USPS Stamp Art programme since 2021.

Curator note: drop date, tiers and mintages come from VeVe's own blog post; crypto-stamps.org repeats the same figures (dating the Cherub 1996 instead of 1995 — the USPS Historian lists the original 1 February 1995 and a self-adhesive re-issue of 20 January 1996). USPS has published nothing about the NFT drop itself; the USPS Historian list documents only the four original stamps. Single editorial source for the drop. Reviewed 2026-09-21.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same edition as With Love and Kisses (2025)?

No. Love (Stamp Art 2024) dropped on 14 February 2024 and re-issues four different historic Love stamps from 1984, 1985, 1986 and 1995 in four tiers (1,424 / 1,424 / 1,124 / 724). With Love and Kisses dropped exactly one year later, on 14 February 2025, is a Hershey’s brand collaboration based on the 2007 stamp by Derry Noyes, and has only two tiers (Common 5,907 / Secret Rare 590). Only the calendar day is shared.
