Legends meet Crypto stamp – Horses and Heroes of Mythology is the 2026 crypto stamp joint edition of four European postal services, scheduled for 24 September 2026: Perseus and Eos (Österreichische Post), Demeter (PostNL), Heracles (Bpost) and Hades (CTT Portugal). It continues the 2025 Mythologie set, but with four instead of five partners — POST Luxembourg is not taking part in 2026. New this year: every mythological figure is accompanied by a horse. Announced, not yet released as of 20 September 2026.

The 2026 joint edition is the direct successor of the 2025 Mythologie set. Four postal services issue five stamps on the same day, 24 September 2026. Austria again contributes two motifs — Perseus, the hero who slew Medusa, and Eos, goddess of dawn — while PostNL shows Demeter (agriculture and harvest), Bpost Heracles with the horse Areion, and CTT Portugal Hades with his black horses. New this year: every figure is accompanied by a horse, hence the series title Horses and Heroes of Mythology.

The set shrinks from five to four partners: POST Luxembourg, which issued Artemis in 2025, is not part of the 2026 edition. The Austrian price rises from EUR 9.90 (Zeus, Hera) to EUR 11.35.
Curator note: announced, not yet released as of 2026-09-20. No issuer has named the designer, no official Austrian edition number (5.4 / 6 / 7) has been published, and the edition codes are not yet in the crypto.post.at dApp bundle, so contract addresses stay empty. Colour distribution is published only by PostNL; Bpost confirms five colours (black most common, red rarest) and CTT five random rarity levels.
