Swiss Crypto Stamp 4.0 of 24 April 2024 is the fourth crypto stamp by Swiss Post — after SCS 1.0 (2021), SCS 2.0 (2022) and SCS 3.0 (2023). The motif is Marmi the marmot, touring through various Swiss landscapes. As with SCS 3.0, the motifs were AI-generated (Midjourney). The Basic Edition comprises 24 different versions of 7,500 pieces each (180,000 in total). On the following day, 25 April 2024, a Special Edition (6 versions, 2,000 pieces in total) and a Wallpaper Edition (12 versions of 1,500 pieces each) were additionally released, alongside a Unique Edition "Unicorn" of a single piece.

Marmi the Marmot
The Alpine marmot is one of the most recognisable animals of the Swiss mountains. By putting a named character — Marmi — at the centre of the edition, Swiss Post moves from the abstract, theme-driven SCS 3.0 toward a warmer, mascot-led narrative. Marmi appears in changing settings across the 24 versions: different valleys, seasons, and moods.
AI-Generated Motifs (Midjourney)
Like SCS 3.0, the SCS 4.0 motifs were generated with AI — this time via Midjourney. The tool produced the 24 Marmi variations, each placing the marmot in a distinct scene while keeping the character recognisable. This continues the Swiss line's move into AI-assisted stamp design that began with SCS 3.0.

SCS 4.0 shipped as a small family of releases:
- Basic Edition — 24 versions (token IDs 1–24, from Rubber raft to Train travel) of 7,500 pieces each, 180,000 in total, launch 24 April 2024
- Special Edition — six versions released the following day, 25 April 2024: Wood 1,000, Crystal 350, Chocolate 250, Bronze 200, Silver 150 and Gold 50 (2,000 in total)
- Wallpaper Edition — also released 25 April 2024: 12 versions of 1,500 pieces each
- Unique Edition — "Unicorn", a single piece
The Basic Edition is the core collectible; its 24 versions all share the same print run, so none is rarer than another. The Special, Wallpaper and Unique editions round out the release.
Chain and Contract
Curator note: the blockchain is inferred as Polygon, not on-chain-verified for this edition. Swiss Post's crypto-stamp line moved to Polygon (confirmed for CHLI 1.0 and 2.0 via the post.ch FAQ contract publication), and SCS 4.0 is assumed to follow the same Inacta/Tokengate Polygon deployment.
